Below is a checklist for common problems concerning uploads using DISE Bridge.
Contents |
A DISE Movie has dependencies to files on the manager. If files are moved or removed for some reason the upload will fail, with:
Restore the missing files to be able to send.
Note: There is an option that allows the send operation to complete although files are missing, found in the General tab in Bridge's preferences. Use with caution!
Note: When having FTP issues we recommend trying another FTP client such as FileZilla Client to see if the issue is DISE-specific.
Is there enough space on the server? Remember that by default, Bridge will not remove files from the server so there may be a lot of data that is not being used that is safe to remove, either by using Bridge, or manually.
The account running Bridge may not have valid permissions to connect to, create and write to the destination folder. You may for instance receive a message saying: Error sending <file> (Could not create destination directory) When using network shares and the player is a member of a domain, you will have to include the domain, like this: DOMAIN\USER in the Destination path field of the destination. It is important to verify that both NTFS and file share permissions are correctly setup. It might also be the case that DISE was installed using an account with a higher level of permissions than the one currently running DISE. In this case use the same account that installed DISE and see if that rids the problem.
When you suspect that the disk holding content has errors, check and repair the disk using Windows built-in tools.

When transferring to certain FTP servers there may be issues with filenames containing special characters such as "$". Make sure that files to be sent to the FTP server have names without special characters. There is also an option in Bridge to encode filenames that contain unicode characters. You will find it in the File options tab in the destination preferences.
