Supported font formats

  • Adobe Type 1 (.pfb / .pfm)
  • OpenType (.otf)
  • TrueType (.ttf)

Setup

By default, DISE Replay and DISE Composer will use the fonts that are installed in Windows. DISE Replay will also automatically use the fonts that are distributed with your content.

Both DISE Composer and DISE Replay have settings for deciding how fonts should be handled, and what directories that should be read for font files.

The Font Engine will automatically use the font files installed in Windows, but that does not mean that font files do have to be installed in Windows. In some scenarios a good idea to have another directory with font files, for the DISE Composer to use. This will enable you to control the fonts available to the content creator, promoting use of company fonts or preventing use of unsuitable fonts.

Licensing

You should also not that some font files require special licensing for you to be able to distribute then to players. If you use a font file that are not installed by default in Windows you should check the licensing details before using this font in your content.

Font Engine

Settings file

You can control how the font engine will load fonts using a settings file.
