In DISE Bridge you can combine players into groups. In addition groups can be added to groups.

The structure is as follows:

Destination

Destinations holds network information (FTP or Shared Folder), and also a number of players that can be ordered into groups.

Players

A player in DISE Bridge is referred to by name and a display scheme name.

Lightbulb.png Note: There is no requirement to have one player in DISE Bridge per player in your DISE system. Players can be setup to use the same display scheme. Essentially, all a player in DISE Bridge does is generate its own display scheme.

Group

Is a collection of individual players and/or groups. Groups are defined by a name and are available only for logical and ordering purposes.

Channel

Each destination defines the number of channels which can hold a display scheme. The channel layout is shared amongst all the players and groups that belong to the destination.

DISE Movies

A DISE Movie is created using DISE Composer. DISE Movies can be added to the destination, a group or each individual player.

Display scheme

A display scheme defines which DISE Movies will be played. The actual display scheme that will be used by the player is created by joining all the DISE Movies that have been added to the destination, to any group containing the player, and to the player itself.

Lightbulb.png Note: A group in itself does not generate a display scheme. Instead, it provides another level of organization by which to add to a player's display scheme.

Creating groups

Starting with a destination, bring up the Edit destination dialog. Select the Players tab and click Add to add a player.

A dialog box will appear where you should enter the name of the player and optionally a different display scheme name. The display scheme name is what must be entered into DISE Replay on the player.

Lightbulb.png Note: Players can be grouped into multiple groups.

Give the group a name and add players to the group by selecting players from the list of available players to the left and press <. To remove players select them from the list to the right and press >.

When you have created some groups you can also add groups into other groups.

The DISE Bridge main window may then look something like this.

Bridge Main.png

For this project we have created three players, and two groups that hold players and one group that holds the other groups.

In the next picture we have added some DISE Movies. One to the group Turkey and one to the Office_in_Side player.

Looking at the Office_in_Side, to the left we will see the DISE movies that will make up the Office_in_Side display scheme. DISE Movies added on another level is displayed with brackets and group or destination name.

Selecting the destination and pressing Send at the bottom will create display schemes for all players in all groups and sent it out to the server along with all content.
