PowerPoint is a popular presentation software by Microsoft. Presentations created in PowerPoint may be imported in DISE in a number of ways - as an image slideshow in the List Object, as a video, or as a sequence of scenes.
Note: To import PowerPoint slides, you will need PowerPoint installed on the manager.
Slides are imported as individual images. To import a presentation as a list, either use the PowerPoint object or insert a List Object, click the Import PPT button and browse to the presentation file. The resulting images are automatically put in DISEContent and added to the list.
Note: Transitions between slides and animation in slides will not be preserved - instead, use the transitions in the list object.
Slides are imported as a video of a set length. A presentation imported as video retains all transitions and animations created in Powerpoint. To import a presentation as a video, insert a Video Object, click the Import PPT button and browse to the presentation file. The resulting video file is automatically put in DISEContent.
Each slide is imported as an image, on its own scene. To import a presentation as scenes, select File > Import > Import Powerpoint. and browse to the presentation file. This will create a new DISE Movie, put the resulting files in DISEContent and create a new scene for each image.
Note: You can make good use of the Display time dropdown list when working with imported slides. Set a long time for each scene and use the arrow buttons to step between scenes as you would a Powerpoint presentation.
