DISE 8 Update #7 - 30 October 2014
Features
Several improvements in DISE Composer has been made around uploads of DISE movies and templates to DISE Server.
The full path (not just the filename) to the object will now be shown in the "Object info" window in DISE Composer.
It is now possible to move objects horizontally or vertically in DISE Composer by pressing and holding in the SHIFT key.
It is now possible to hide/unhide individual or all objects in the edit area from the timeline in DISE Composer.
If objects are located in several layers on top of each other in the DISE Composer edit area, you can now hold ALT and click on them to switch between them.
It is now possible to hold in SHIFT to select a range of objects in the DISE Composer timeline.
It is now possible to change or delete projects in DISE Composer and DISE Bridge.
Adding a template DISE movie in DISE Bridge will now result in an error message, so this can no longer be done.
The option “Check for content updates on application startup” under project properties in DISE Bridge will now be default activated.
The output window in DISE Replay will now regain focus every 500 ms when running in windowed mode, in order to prevent situations where for example the Windows task bar stays on top.
Due to a number of memory issues regarding video playback when Haali Media Splitter is used, we have decided to switch from Haali to LAV splitter. LAV is now being included in the installation package instead of Haali.
Resolved issues
A lot of improvements and smaller fixes has been made in the path tool in DISE Composer.
Editing of lock times on objects with an absolute or relative %-value in DISE Composer did not work correctly.
Changing time lock setting for an object from the Ribbon did not apply correctly until you clicked in the timeline.
If opening a DISE movie from the “recent” list, DISE Composer did not detect any possible changes that had been made to the currently opened DISE movie and it therefore did not ask if you wanted to save the changes.
Templates created with a NoBorders screen definition did not show correctly when creating a new Movie.
It was unable to delete an in- or out transition on a scene from the “scene preferences” dialog in DISE Composer.
The icons in the color palette in DISE Composer had the wrong design, and has now been corrected.
The ‘Bring forward’ and ‘Send backward’ buttons (up/down) in the DISE Composer timeline had been switched, this is now fixed.
When adding new rows in a table object in DISE Composer, the new rows did not inherit the formats (font, size, color, alignment etc) from the row above. It was hard-coded to Arial, 24. This has now been fixed.
Data connected text files with in-line images used in ticker objects could not have equal filenames, or include uppercase letters and there were also an issue with the alpha channel on these images.
Data connected files could in some cases not be found correctly when unchecking “File exists locally on player”.
It was possible to mark files not yet sent in the database in DISE Bridge for ‘delete’ and ‘resend’. This is not possible anymore.
DISE Bridge could in some rare cases fail to delete the lock file.
A lot of improvements has been made in DISE Bridge to make the UI faster and more responsive. This is primarily noticeable when having a lot of players and/or destinations.
To delete a non-referenced file (a file not in use according to the database) manually in a DISE Bridge destination and then sending out the destination would result in an error message. This will not happen anymore. Instead, the reference in the database will be deleted.
If you add a video directly in a DISE Bridge playlist and an external codec are needed to playback the video, there was no sound. This has now been fixed.
The license handling during startup of DISE software (especially Probe) could in some cases intervene with the database connection, which in turn made it unable to appear correctly in DISE Complete.
Updates from DISE Probe did not work sometimes, when running several instances of DISE Replay on the same machine.
The “Test” button in the DISE Setup Wizard used for checking if the PC could display an output window, did not work, it only showed a black screen.
Incorrect firewall rules was used when setting up a DISE One installation, which could result in the manager being unable to find the player.
Some minor issues in DISE Bridge and DISE Composer has been resolved.
DISE 8 Update #6 - 28 April 2014

The preloading in DISE Replay could in some occasions have a higher than normal CPU usage during playback in DISE Replay.
When using event mode in DISE Replay and loading a lot of content during startup, there was a possibility that you could get out of memory errors before memory actually ran out.
If a NoBorders setup was changed on-the-fly during playback, the change was not made until you restarted DISE Replay.
An error could occur when using content pools, making the output window black after a content update.
Elecard multicast stream playback did not work correctly.
NoBorders content was not shown correctly after applying rotation in the DISE Replay output settings.
If transitions between scenes were set longer than the scene length, there was a possibility of a black screen.
Information about title, artist, album, filename and duration in DISE Ambience playlists was not shown.
If a song was unable to be loaded during playback of a DISE Ambience playlist due to wrong filename or that it does not exist, the playback was stopped and DISE Replay did not jump to the next song automatically.
If only a part of a DISE Ambience playlist was downloaded and started, there was a risk of the current song being played in repeat until you restarted the playback.
Some minor issues in DISE Composer, DISE Bridge and DISE Ambience has been resolved.
DISE 8 Update #5 - 15 January 2014
Features
A possibility to move groups or players up and down in order is added, when you edit a destination in DISE Bridge.
It is now possible to make a data connection for the position and size of objects in DISE Composer under object properties.
The functionality in DISE Broadcaster is expanded to include the ability to enable/disable NIT and SDT.
It is now possible to choose which network adapter you want to use for streaming in DISE Broadcaster.
Resolved issues
Save of DISE movies with video objects in DISE Composer resulted in a problem previewing the video when reopening the same movie.
The timeline view in DISE Composer could in some cases be cut off.
The ‘Scroll page’ and ‘Render with fixed size’ options on the web page object in DISE Composer did not always work correctly.
The list when choosing font in text objects in DISE Composer was very small. The number of font items in the list is now raised from 8 to 24 making the scrollbar bigger.

Changes in the Twitter API regarding timestamps made the Twitter object unusable in DISE.
The preview area in the data connection dialog was not updated until you reopened the window.
It was not possible to change project in DISE Bridge.
The calendar views in DISE Bridge was not visible for groups and players.
Dependency files were shown in the file browser and the content library in DISE Bridge.
Several issues regarding channel effects in DISE Bridge, is now solved.
There was a risk of getting FTP timeouts in DISE Probe during DISE Replay playback, if the CPU was busy enough. The handling of downloading in DISE Probe is changed so that this issue cannot happen anymore. The file list speed will be a little bit slower due to this fix.
Performance of DISE Probe has been improved.
Using the option for ‘Use File List for information of what files to download’ together with FTP as the communication method, resulted in DISE Probe getting a deadlock.
General performance issues during playback in DISE Replay when using a NoBorders setup, are now solved.
DISE Replay could in some rare cases show a black screen during playback when using transitions in list objects.
When using the interactivity commands for going backwards in scenes, an issue could happen where the screen turns black instead.
Using a data connected list object could result in a black frame in transitions between images.
Buttons and windows throughout dialogs in the DISE software could in some cases disappear or be broken.
The sound could randomly stop during playback in DISE Ambience.

The company name in the copyright information is changed from Klocktornet to DISE International throughout our software.
Support for a new media splitter for video has been introduced in DISE, in addition to Haali Splitter. It is called LAV splitter.
We have introduced the possibility of choosing a default media format for playback of content in DISE. For example, if you want DISE to always use Haali + FFDShow on MP2 files and LAV + FFDShow on MP4 files, this is now possible. Contact DISE Support for more details on how to set this up.
A ‘read only’ option is added on the advanced tab on channels in DISE Bridge. This option adds the possibility that inherited channels to this channel becomes ‘read only’, meaning that it will be impossible to add/delete/enable/disable anything in that channel.
An interactivity function for executing commands on click events is added in DISE 8. Contact DISE Support for more details about syntax and possibilities.
The possibility to log in to a Twitter or Facebook account in DISE Composer to show the amount of followers and likes on the social media objects, has been removed since it wasn’t necessary.
During installation of DISE there were no checks on whether the different DISE executables were running or not, which could result in unwanted behavior. A check for this has now been introduced, right before the actual installation starts.
We have added the possibility to delete and rename content directly from DISE Composer and DISE Bridge in a SVN repository, if you are running shared content.
Resolved issues
The speedup/slowdown settings for a path interval, was not saved correctly.
Even if you configure a DISE Complete status interval of anything else than 60 in DISE Probe, it will still tell the server that it sends status every 60 seconds. This could cause red "error" messages in DISE Complete SMS application, as it expects a message every 60 seconds.
Running DISE Bridge with the command line parameters –A –C (autosend and autoclose) also forces DISE Bridge to check for updates. This is unnecessary and is now removed.
In some cases, not all files in the dependency list were sent from DISE Composer through DISE Discover to DISE Replay when publishing.
An issue regarding templates and relative search paths, could result in content not showing correctly during playback.
Using only DISE Bridge for content creation and scheduling, could result in a black screen during playback in DISE Replay.
In some rare cases, playback in DISE Replay could result in a black screen after a schedule change.
In some rare cases, you could see a small hiccup when changing scenes during playback.
Starting and stopping channels using interactive click events sometimes failed.
DISE movies could in some cases not be loaded when the playback started without a displayscheme, which later becomes available.
On very rare occasions, the thumbnail for videos in the DISE Composer edit area, could not be loaded.

DISE 8 Update #3 - 23 May 2013

The ticker and table objects in DISE Composer is now updated with the new font engine to support right-to-left languages such as Hebrew and Arabic. A new preset object for horizontal tickers is also added.
A new PDF object is introduced in DISE Composer making it possible to import PDF documents as images. The list object now also supports PDF.
Resolved issues
Relative search paths to data connected files made the data connection function in DISE Composer corrupt in some cases.
An error in the flash installer during installation of DISE software made the installation not function correctly.
